MONDAY MAY 16 MORNING WEATHER BRIEFING
GOOD MORNING!
Well the weekend was......not great. The airport registered 0.2" of snow Sunday. Having snowflakes in mid-May is not ALL that usual but enough to measure? That is! The date of the latest measurable snow in Youngstown is May 16 (today) so yesterday's snow was nearly a record breaker. Biggest May snows in Youngstown:Today started cold and frosty. Low temperatures:High pressure is nearly overhead today so it'll be a nice, sun-filled afternoon. Still below average but MUCH better than the weekend!
DAMP TUESDAY
A system scooting by to our south will spread some light rain into the region Tuesday. Not a washout but plan on at least a little rain at just about any point.Simulated radar:
A FEW NICE DAYS!
Wednesday through Friday are all looking nice and comfortable. Enjoy!
ANOTHER DAMP WEEKEND?
We have plenty of time to fine-tune the forecast but as of this morning the chance is there for some rain over the weekend. At least it will NOT be as cold as the previous weekend.
LONG RANGE
Still think the final 1/3 of May will be warmer!
