WEDNESDAY MAY 11 MORNING WEATHER BRIEFING

GOOD MORNING!

A seasonable day Tuesday with highs in the mid 60s. We'll do even better today. Not exactly a bright and sunny start to our day though:now.pngWe expect variable amounts of clouds today with the weather staying largely dry until late afternoon. That's when a shower or thunderstorm is most likely to pop up here and there. 15 hour futurecast:hrrr_2016051110_ref_cleveland.gifSevere weather risk is very minimal today....any thunderstorm this afternoon will bring a downpour. Remember that lightning is always dangerous.day1.png

COLD FRONT #1 ON THE WAY

The air mass will continue to warm ahead of a cold front on Thursday. It will be humid as well with dewpoints reaching the lower and middle 60s.Temperatures should be near 80!ModelTemps.jpgShowers and thunderstorms will wait until pretty late in the day to get this far east. The greatest risk will be after 5-6pm:5pthu.png8pthurs.pngWhile the risk of severe weather is somewhat higher than today, it's still pretty low. Higher likelihood to our west:day2.pngspc.pngIn the wake of the front, Friday will feature a drying trend with a pretty nice afternoon. Highs near 70 with noticeably lower humidity.friday.png

COLD FRONT #2

The second front will be the stronger one. A raw and damp day on the way Saturday with the steadiest rain likely in the morning hours. Temperatures no higher than the mid 50s.satpm.pngSunday will be quite chilly as well. A secondary weather disturbance might bring an afternoon shower or sprinkle. Again...temperatures no higher than 52-55.sunday.png

LONG RANGE

Pattern change is likely in the longer range...be patient! KYNG_2016051100_min_max_16.png
